Anglis Scriptoribus, fures, dicuntur; et in genere, ii, qui crimen aliquod seu feloniam commisêre eamque ultro confessi, criminis socios appellant vel approbant, i. e. deferunt: Car. du Fresne Glossar. Vide etiam infra in voce Approbator. Deducitut vox ad Appello, vulgo Appeale, quod in ius vocationem seu accusationem denotat, et in criminalibus actionibus, proprie Anglis usurpatur.
